How It Started

My Passion for Creating Natural Candles

Hello there Delights! I'm Nicole, the proud owner and creator behind Deming Delights. My passion for candles led me to realize that I could no longer justify the high prices of store-bought options. Beyond the cost, I was concerned about the health implications for myself, my family, and my beloved pets. This realization sparked my journey to craft my own candles. Deming Delights is a small venture run solely by me, but it’s gaining popularity in my community. I truly believe in the value of handmade products made with care, and that’s what you can expect from everything I create. Each candle is a labor of love, reflecting my commitment to quality and wellness. I use only the finest ingredients in my candles, ensuring they burn beautifully and fill your space with wonderful scents. I’m excited to share my creations with you and hope they bring as much joy to your home as they do to mine!

Know Your Soy Candle

List Title

I Use 100% Soy Wax
  • I do NOT mix my wax with any other option of waxes. Soy comes from the soybean, therefore it's 100% plant-derived and natural.

  • Soy wax has a lower melting temperature than other waxes, therefore it burns for a longer time.

  • Soy holds fragrance and essential oils more lightly, referring to the potency of the candle when it burns.

  • Soy candles burns 35% to over 50% longer than a paraffin candle.

The First Burn
  •  Allow pool of wax to extend to outside rim of jar to set its "memory." Each time you burn the candle, it will "remember" to burn out to the rim. Rule of thumb: Burn one hour for every inch of your candle's diameter.

  • Keep wicks trimmed to 1/4" and centered. Trimming your wick is one of the most important tips we can share. We use cotton wick and those tend to curl after burning, which is normal, please be mindful when trimming your wick.

Frosting Soy
  • Frosting, this is the common term for “polymorphism” and describes the white coating that appears on your soy candles. What causes it? Frosting is a perfectly natural effect of using soy wax and is unique to vegetable waxes, especially soy. It is the natural wax re-crystallizing.

  • All soy waxes frost to some degree and is a sign that you are using 100% natural soy wax. It is more noticeable with colored candles.

  • You will start to notice or see frosting after you burn your candle. Frosting can start to be noticeable anywhere from your third burn to your last burn.
